Operations Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for effectively managing Plant Production and Maintenance teams
  • Effectively manage plant staff and resources
  • Constantly monitor the plant and ensure prompt action to ensure plant availability
  • Ensure all quality and operation/control procedures with respect to plant operations are met in full
  • Maintain accurate records and proper administration as required by the various operations
  • Continuously work at improving and optimizing the various processes
  • Ensure adherence to all respective safety standards
  • Effective management of stock
  • Monitor plant records and report on the various processes and projects
  • Attend client meetings and feedback/reports on the plant, processes
  • Compilation of monthly Plant Reports, including feedback to Area Manager
  • Prompt and professional client response, service and feedback

Requirements

  • Relevant BSc Chem Eng or B Eng (Chemical) qualification
  • MUST have +3 years experience in advanced water treatment
  • Good understanding of plant health and managing water treatment plants
  • Effective trouble shooting experience in the water industry
  • 3 years Management experience in a plant/factory environment
  • Good time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Fully computer literate MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Clients, Suppliers, Contractors as well as staff
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task across various projects, and tasks
  • Market related salary subject to relevant qualification, experience and track record
  • South African Citizens only
