IntroductionMy client is a group of companies, operating mainly in the Mining, Minerals and Transport sectors. They are urgently seeking an experienced Financial Manager to fill the role for 2 of the entities, operating from their Pretoria East offices.Duties & Responsibilities•Monthly calculations, reconciliations and submission of the Value Added Tax•Preparation of annual and monthly cash flow and normal budgets•Bi-annual reconciliation of the EMP501’s and submission thereof to the revenue services•Yearly issuing of the IRP5’s and IT3’s, and submission to SARS•Creditors and debtors control management•Oversee reconciliation of inter-company loans•Preparation of monthly management statements•Cost projections and cost analysis•Growth projections and analysis•Discussions, presentations and analysing of the monthly management statements with the Directors•Discussion and comparisons between the annual budget vs actual expenditure•Oversee capturing and processing of all financial documents and accounting related information for all relevant companies•Calculation and submission of the provisional tax returns•Calculation and submission of the annual income tax returns•Preparation of auditor files on an annual basis•Preparation of annual financial statements for the auditors•Manage and administrate monthly invoices and payments•Ensure safe keeping of cash•Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel•Directing financial planning and strategy•Analyzing and reporting on financial performance•Overseeing audit and tax functions•Developing and implementing accounting policies•Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets•Reviewing departmental budgets•Assessing, managing, and minimizing risk•Analyzing complex financial data•Managing internal controls•Full asset and asset registry management•Managing and maintaining all legal documents and legal compliancesDesired Experience & Qualification•Completed Articles (SAIPA, SAICA)•B.Com degree. Hons degree will be an added advantage•Minimum 3 years post Articles experience required•Proficiency in accounting software•Financial management experience•Strong aptitude for math and accounting•Good communication skills•Computer literacy•Strong analytical skills•In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices•Solid knowledge of financial analysis and IFRS•Communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans
