Junior Secretary

- Assist attorneys with litigation process related tasks.
- Assist attorneys and senior secretaries in managing administrative tasks related to Third Party Claims, Road Accident Fund Claims and Medical Negligence Claims.
- Prepare and maintain legal documents, case files, and correspondence with utmost confidentiality and accuracy.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, court hearings, and appointments on behalf of attorneys.
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and manage the Third Party Division and RAF document database.
- Assist in drafting emails, letters, and other written communication as required.
- Perform general office tasks, photocopying, and scanning documents.
- Liaise with clients, court officials, and other third parties professionally and respectfully.
- Conduct legal research under the guidance of attorneys.
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (further education in a legal or administrative field will be advantageous)
- Knowledge of the litigation process and basic legal principles (experience in High Court Litigation)
- Proven organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a diverse workload efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using office software and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, legal document management systems).
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take direction from senior staff members.
- Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Knowledge of the Road Accident Fund (RAF) processes will be considered a significant asset.
