The President Hotel is on an exciting journey toward luxury.We are looking for a skilled, professional and guest focused Bartender with strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wines and non alcoholic beverages, along with a natural ability to connect with guests. You will be the face of the bar, ensuring every drink and every interaction reflects the warm, elevated service The President is known for.What We Are Looking For Grade 12 Matric Minimum 1 year bartending experience in a fast paced hotel or upmarket restaurant bar environment Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and beverage preparation Confident, engaging communication skills Ability to read guest cues and anticipate needs Excellent attention to detail and presentation standards Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and basic HACCP practices Ability to work under pressure and multitask Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays Professional appearance and a positive service attitude Experience with POS systems advantageousWhat You Will Do Take drink orders accurately and efficiently at the bar and in designated service areas Prepare a variety of cocktails and beverages with precision, consistency and flair Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, checking identification where required Deliver warm, engaging and personalised service to every guest Provide menu guidance, including recommendations and pairing suggestions Manage your bar station, maintaining cleanliness, organisation and stock rotation Assist with daily stock take and wastage reporting Restock bar supplies, glassware and ingredients throughout the shift Actively upsell and identify revenue opportunities Collaborate with team members to support smooth service and bar operations Report equipment issues and maintenance needs timeouslyOn Offer Competitive market related salary Company contribution toward medical aid and pension fund Staff meals on duty Uniform provided Training and development opportunities within a growing hotel Discounts on dining, accommodation and selected hotel facilities A supportive and passionate team culture A chance to grow within one of Cape Towns most loved hotelsWhy The PresidentAt The President Hotel, you are part of a team that values craftsmanship, personality and genuine hospitality.
