Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

- **Customer Service**:

- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take drink orders and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Mix and serve beverages promptly, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- **Mixology**:

- Possess a thorough understanding of drink recipes and be able to create a wide range of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the drink menu.
- **Product Knowledge**:

- Stay informed about the bar's offerings, including seasonal and specialty drinks.
- Educate customers about different types of beverages and make informed recommendations.
- **Ordering and Inventory**:

- Monitor and manage bar inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Keep track of popular and seasonal ingredients to ensure availability.
- **Cleanliness and Organization**:

- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, utensils, and bar tools.
- Dispose of waste properly and adhere to health and safety standards.
- **Cash Handling**:

- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using cash registers or point-of-sale systems.
- Provide customers with receipts and handle any discrepancies.
- **Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to provide excellent service.
- **Adherence to Policies**:

- Follow established policies and procedures, including age verification for alcohol consumption.
- Comply with local and state regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages.
- **Problem Solving**:

- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a bartender preferred.
- Knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Certification in responsible beverage service (e.g., TIPS) may be required.
