Machine Operator

MACHINE OPERATOR - PRODUCTIONABOUT THE JOBThe Machine operator will be responsible for following operative guidelines / SOPs in order to help produce products for the comapnie based on the bill of materials and instructions laid out by the Production Planner and as instructed via the Team Leader or Supervisor. Their duties include checking that machinery is correctly set up, cleaned and sanitised and available for production at all times, ensuring that safety protocols are followed on the assembly line, and troubleshooting any issues found during production involving the Maintenance Supervisor as necessary.ABOUT YOUMust have the ability to adopt practical approachesMust have Basic mechanical inclination and understandingPlanning, organizing, follow up and feedbackStrong problem-solving skills and able to multitaskAbility to concentrate for lengthy periodsGoal driven and Service Delivery should be your passionGood verbal communication, with English the main medium of communication and other South African an added advantage.Must show commitment - the position requires flexibility and after-hours availability when requiredMust be able to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines.THE HATS YOU MAY WEARInvestigator: able to identify problems/concerns with execution of a job and inform relevant partiesTeam player: Communicate between individuals within different departments positively and confidently to be able to carry out duties whilst keeping all needed parties informedQuality assurer: Consistently checks the detail and quality of every job they executeFocused: Able to finish jobs timeously and in fullWHAT OTHER DETAILS / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS MAKE OUR EYES LIGHT UP, YOU ASK?Grade 10 - Matric.Pneumatics experience advantageous.1 years' experience in a similar role (as an operator in the personal care industry) a preference.Experience in a Warehouse/Production environment, cosmetic machinery advantageous.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with high attention to detail.Good communication skills.Ability to maintain inhouse automation machinery (e.g. bottle filling machines etc) advantageousl spirit.
