Our client, a well-established wine estate situated just outside Stellenbosch, is seeking a hands-on and mechanically skilled Cellar Technician to join their team. This role is vital to the smooth running of the cellar, with a strong focus on maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, and other cellar machinery.Key Responsibilities• Assist with all cellar operations during harvest and throughout the year, including crushing, fermentation, racking, and bottling.• Maintain and repair pumps, filters, presses, and general cellar equipment.• Conduct preventative maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.• Support cellar hygiene and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and sanitised.• Adhere to safety and operational standards at all times.Requirements• Mechanical experience is essential – including the ability to maintain and repair pumps and machinery.• Previous cellar experience will be beneficial.• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on, labour-intensive work.• A proactive, positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.If you’re mechanically minded, practical, and eager to be part of a respected winemaking team, we’d love to hear from you.
