IntroductionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to support our logistics operations in Boksburg. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager to ensure efficient and effective execution of cross-border transport operations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport daily management of logistics operations, with a focus on cross-border trips to Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and BotswanaSupervise a fleet of approximately 50 - 60 trucks, coordinating around 200 trips per monthMonitor route planning, driver schedules, and vehicle availabilityLiaise with drivers, clients, and cross-border authorities to ensure smooth operationsEnsure compliance with transport regulations, including customs and border documentationAssist with operational problem-solving and incident managementMaintain accurate operational records and generate reports as requiredAssist in staff supervision, performance tracking, and disciplinary processesWork closely with other departments such as fleet maintenance, HR, and financeBe available to work every second weekend to oversee weekend operationsDesired Experience & Qualification3-5 years’ experience in a logistics or transport operations role (preferably in cross-border logistics)Proven experience managing fleet operations and supervising staffStrong understanding of cross-border transport regulations and processesGood communication and leadership skillsAbility to work under pressure and handle operational issues proactivelyComputer literate (MS Office, especially Excel; experience with fleet or logistics software is advantageous)Own transport and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as requiredPackage & RemunerationR25 000 – R35 000 CTC per month.Bonus: Performance-based bonus (depending on company performance)Interested?Please mail your CV to hr1 (at) peopledimension (dot) co (dot) zaShortlisted applicants will be contacted within 2 weeks, if you do not hear from us by then your application for this position was unsuccessful, but you have been added to our database for future vacancies.
