A recent professional profile photo is to accompany your applicationEMPLOYMENT TYPE : PermanentSECTOR : Maintenance BASIC SALARY : Market RelatedSTART DATE : A.S.A.P / ImmediateREQUIREMENTS:Grade 12 (Matric)Trade Tested CertificateMinimum 2 years of experience in a similar roleTwo years maintenance experience in the wine production industryComputer literateMaintenance skills, including some plumbing and electrical knowledgeBasic knowledge of HACCP systemBasic knowledge of the Pre-requisite Program ISOPE01In-depth knowledge of HACCP Plan for glass and Bib filling ISOPH02Good interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to identify problem areas and work under pressureMust be willing to be on call one week in three DUTIES: Machine, Equipment, and Vehicle Maintenance:Carry out preventative maintenance according to the maintenance plan and attend to breakdowns on all machines, equipment, and vehicles.Perform improvements on machines and equipment when necessary.Ensure correct lubricants are used for specified machines/products as advised by machine/product specifications.Ensure proper care and use of workshop machines, tools, and equipment.Order and collect spares and other maintenance requirements in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager and Production Manager Bottling.Fabricate minor spares/process requirements using a lathe, drill press, welding, and other equipment as required.Respond to call-outs and attend to breakdowns when required.Maintain registers according to OHAS Act statutory requirements for power tools, ladders, pressure vessels, and lifting devices.Liaise with service companies on plant service issues, air compressors, hoists, and forklift trucks.Complete all breakdown and preventative maintenance records according to QMS procedures. Buildings & Grounds Maintenance:Carry out preventative maintenance and repair work on buildings as required.Attend to breakdowns and liaise with departmental managers to limit disruption to processes.Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs as required in the plant. Quality Management Systems:Adhere to QMS standards and procedures.Follow QMS protocol as described in QMS procedures.Ensure the security of the premises is maintained in areas of responsibility.Adhere to set GMP protocol and participate in quality seminars. Health, Safety, and Housekeeping:Control CCPs, including sanitation testing of machines and equipment worked on during maintenance.Carry out sanitation of the workshop and parts store.Participate in annual HACCP training and H&S committee meetings when required.Adhere to the protective clothing policy.Ensure compliance with company and statutory H&S policies and procedures.Work closely with the safety representative to ensure adherence to safe work practices.Contribute to the companys safety awareness by monitoring contractors on site and reporting any deviations to the safety representative or maintenance/production manager.Ensure housekeeping meets required standards and that all areas of responsibility are clean and neat.HOURS:Monday to Friday: 08:00 17:00Standby every 3rd week
