Our client, based in Glynwood, Benoni, is searching for a dedicated professional to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and providing essential support within a dynamic medical environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in administration, with a particular focus on the medical field, and will thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling appointments, maintaining events calendar, sending reminders
  • Co-ordinating and arranging any travel requirements
  • Event planning
  • Meetings (Physical and online): Scheduling of meetings including agenda, recording and minutes
  • Maintaining office supplies and purchases
  • Administrative support to ensure effective billing processes
  • Acting as a point of contact and dealing with correspondence, phone calls, patients and medical staff
  • Management of web page and social media pages
  • Research (as determined by the Managing Partner)
  • Drafting, copying, formatting, scanning, faxing, texting, WhatsApp, Filing
  • Reporting
  • Collection and uploading of patient data
  • Attendance to any form of enquiries (telephone, physical, email etc)
  • Low-level accounting
  • Management of support staff such as cleaners
  • Liaison with billing and hospital offices
  • Liaise and manage suppliers and support staff
  • Ensure that offices and kitchen are clean and organised

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric
  • Diploma in Office Administration or similar
  • A minimum of 10 years of applicable experience, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Preference to applicants with medical office experience

  • Strong computer literacy and Microsoft Office expertise
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stay up to date and incorporate new technology
  • Ethical and trustworthy, especially to confidential information
  • Friendly with excellent interpersonal skills
