This role is responsible for conceptualisation, planning, implementation, financial management, and client retention. You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring events are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standard.Who the Client IsThis opportunity is with a leading corporate events and project management company, known for its innovation, operational excellence, and ability to deliver large-scale, high-profile events. The organisation prides itself on strong client partnerships, financial discipline, and a collaborative, high-performance culture.What You’ll DoManage events end-to-end: from concept, planning, implementation, and reporting to debrief.Draft and manage budgets, financial reconciliations, and procurement processes.Oversee supplier contracts, SLAs, and compliance with OHS, POPI, and client policies.Interpret client briefs and convert them into clear, actionable project plans.Deliver creative proposals and tenders in collaboration with internal and external partners.Build sustainable client relationships and identify opportunities for new business.Provide detailed project documentation including rollout plans, risk analyses, and reports.Ensure delivery of profitable projects aligned with divisional and company objectives.What You BringMinimum 7 years’ experience in event management, including at least 3 years managing large corporate or public events.Tertiary qualification in event management, project management, marketing, or hospitality (advantageous).Strong financial and procurement management skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and lead teams effectively.Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office); knowledge of Flooid or similar systems is beneficial.Willingness to travel, work overtime, and be away from home as required.What Success Looks LikeSeamless execution of high-profile events that meet client expectations.Achievement of financial targets and accurate, timely reporting.Strong, long-term relationships with clients and suppliers.Winning new business through credible, creative proposals.Reputation as a trusted and solutions-focused event professional.
