Accountant: Compliance, TAX and Secretarial Officer

This position is based in Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, is office based with a large, established organisation. The purpose of the Compliance, Tax and Secretarial Officer will ensure that all its subsidiaries complies with all applicable tax laws, financial, secretarial and compliance regulations in South Africa. Your responsibilities will be for various legal entities.DUTIES:Secretarial (40%)Prepare company resolutions and obtaining signaturesMaintain resolution registerCommunicate with Company SecretariesEnsure compliance with CIPC regulationsCompliance (40%)Ensure compliance with local regulations (KYC, FIC, POPI )Ensure compliance with Banking requirements and reportingEnsure financial policies and procedures are aligned with statutory regulations and best practicesAssist with bank administrationTaxation (20%)Prepare and submit tax returns including VAT, Dividend, Income Tax and Provisional Tax to SARSManage SARS correspondence, audits, verifications, and objections/disputesManage access and updates to SARS e-filing profilesMonitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the businessThis position is ideal if you are a team player, a logically thinker, assertive and forthright, then this might just be the career for you.
