Wellington Wines has the following challenging career opportunity available for a dynamic and energetic person to take responsibility for the strategic expansion of their bottled wine sales. The incumbent will be based at the Bovlei Tasting Room and report to the CEO.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Strategic expansion of bottled wine sales in the local market (with a specific focus on Wellington and surrounding towns)Wine tastings & sales (including working shifts)Management of day-to-day operations of tasting roomEnsure adherence to high standard of customer service & handle customer queries and complaintsDriving online wine sales & wine club growthManage and market the renting of the conference hallPlan and manage events (to boost wine sales)Conducting market research and analysisOversee agent responsible for Social Media platformsProvide support for international sales agentsStock management and administrationDistribution administrationRequirements:3-5 years’ previous experience in a sales / hospitality environmentWillingness to work on public holidays and during weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) in accordance with a rotation scheduleEnthusiasm for wine and the desire to expand knowledge thereofRelevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous (e.g. Cape Wine Academy / WSET / Marketing / Sales / Hospitality)A professional, responsible, friendly and well-groomed personalityExcellent communication skills in both Afrikaans & EnglishAbility to work and solve problems independentlyDetail orientatedAdaptableComputer literateValid driver’s licence
