Data Engineer – Cape Town The Data Engineer will support the Digital Delivery Project by designing, developing, and maintaining data systems and digital engineering workflows to enable data-driven project delivery. DutiesDesign, develop, and maintain data structures and pipelines for data collection, transformation, storage, and integration across platforms.Set up, configure, and administer database-centered engineering software and data storage solutions (including SQL-based systems).Develop advanced digital engineering workflows and support intelligent drawing generation within database-driven design tools.Stay current with developments in digital engineering, especially within mineral processing.Participate in training for database-centered engineering design software and its integration within ADP’s Digital Transformation Project.Adhere to company and project procedures to ensure high-quality, consistent deliverables.Minimum RequirementsDegree in Chemical, Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.3+ years’ post-graduate experience.Proven experience in data architecture, data integration, and software programming (APIs).Proficiency with object-oriented SQL databases and 2D CAD software (e.g. Revit, Autodesk Plant 3D, Bentley OpenPlant Modeller, Siemens COMOS, DesSoft, MicroStation, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).South African Citizen or Permanent Resident, based in Cape Town.Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Able to work independently and deliver high-quality work within budget and schedule.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).Excellent communication, teamwork, and knowledge-sharing abilities.Innovative, practical, and committed to continuous learning and professional development.High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics aligned with company values.
