ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations for general area departmental management and is the team's expert in methods and tasks efficiencies.
Secunda Chemicals Operations:
(SCO) comprises all our Secunda-based chemical operating facilities. Our diverse product range includes industrial explosives, Fertilisers, polypropylene, ethylene, propylene, solvents (acetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK)), ethanol, n-Propanol, isopropanol, SabutolTM, PropylolTM, mixed C3/C4/C5/C6 alcohols, high-purity ethanol and ethyl acetate as well as co-monomers (1-hexene, 1-pentene and 1-octene) and detergent alcohol (SafolTM).
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS
Responsible for critical support, proactively prioritize, plan, schedule and support the activities of the Explosives Management and the broader team.
Prepare documents and reports, using office technology, compiles records and organises and maintains files. To deliver on time and within required standards.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Grade 12 (Matric)
or
4 N3 subjects with English
Computer literacy (SAP and MS Office)
Job specification
Relevant Certificate (2 year): 2 years relevant experience (will be at your advantage)
or
Relevant Diploma (3 year): 1 year relevant experience (will be at your advantage)
Advanced knowledge of and skills in Microsoft Office products- Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Knowledge of office and administration procedures and computer software programs.
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in dealing with confidential information and with senior management.
Communication skills. Must have good written and oral communication.
Presentation and attitude. Must be professional, presentable and positive.
Must be deadline driven and orientated and able to execute in a fast-paced environment.
Must have business acumen
Data base and Data capturing experience with SAP experience

Has knowledge of the business with acute insights to the sensitivities of both internal and external interfaces, but specifically how they impact the Sasol executive's role.
Functional / TechnicalEnsures that PRs, notifications & JCEs are loaded on time and followed up
Data capturing and database management
Cost awareness and control:
Monitors the use of expenditures and keeps record thereof within the department, for managers
Complies records, organises, maintains files and posts records
Completes invoicing as and when required;
Control stock of stationery and office supplies
