POSITION SUMMARY

Respond promptly to guest repair requests and efficiently communicate to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment which includes cleaning and lubrication tasks. Conduct visual inspections on tools and equipment, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and building utilities. Maintain inventory and acquire parts and supplies as needed. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts. Demonstrate or learn about air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other maintenance areas. Engage in surface preparation, painting, repairs, and housekeeping tasks. Troubleshoot and repair various equipment and perform basic maintenance in plumbing, electrical, and other areas.

CRITICAL TASKS

General Maintenance
  • Exhibit proficiency in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, repairs, and housekeeping duties.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components.
  • Handle landscaping repairs and housekeeping tasks.
Accident Prevention and Safety
  • Adhere to safety policies and promote a safe environment.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Follow safe operation and storage procedures for tools and hazardous materials.
  • Use proper equipment and safety gear to prevent injuries.
Install, Maintain, and Repair Items
  • Attend to guest repair requests promptly and maintain equipment and tools.
  • Organize maintenance areas properly and clean all tools and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and operate shut-off valves.
Maintain Building and Property
  • Clean engineering areas and observe energy usage.
  • Suggest energy conservation methods.
Maintain Records or Logs
  • Maintain maintenance records and inventory.
  • Communicate daily activities to other shifts.
  • Read and interpret readings from meters and gauges.
Guest Relations
  • Address guests' needs professionally and provide excellent service.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests warmly.
  • Respond to guest complaints promptly.
