The main goal of this Sales Management role is to oversee a team of Networking Sales Specialists based in Gauteng to meet sales targets by effectively managing accounts, verticals, and targets to achieve excellent sales performance. This role involves a mix of management, sales, coaching, and leadership activities to empower the sales team to reach their assigned targets.

They lead a team of sales specialists, without being departmental or divisional managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure local and global strategic sales objectives and targets are achieved
  • Assist sales team in defining market approach and achieving targets
  • Ensure implementation of sales procedures and policies set by business leadership
  • Contribute to tactical and operational strategy development and implementation
  • Align team with client segmentation strategy for optimal resource allocation
  • Coordinate sales team activities, set performance targets, allocate accounts, and ensure execution of client account plans
  • Manage pipeline and forecasting accuracy
  • Establish strong relationships with Networking Practice leadership team and strategic OEM's
  • Understand key technology partners such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Cloud Networks, Fortinet, Mareki
  • Drive cross Practice sales opportunities
  • Participate in business reviews
  • Support team by attending key client meetings
  • Understand and articulate NTT DATA value proposition
  • Manage efficiency levels and streamline procedures for customer excellence
  • Act as mentor and advisor to assist sales force in priority activities
  • Utilize sales tools and methodologies for account management and forecasting
  • Plan and prioritize multiple work outputs
  • Ensure team understands and uses sales tools and processes effectively

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Technology industry
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Networking Sales and/or Sales Management
  • Extensive experience with leading Global OEM's
  • Experience in multinational and matrix structured organizations
  • Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets
  • Operational management experience with sales teams
  • Engagement with clients for sales influence
  • Demonstrated sales management experience
  • Strategic and operational planning experience
