What will you do?

This role reports to SPL's Growth Head, contributing significantly to SPL's growth through marketing and sales strategies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative quantitative analytical methodologies and mathematical models to address business challenges, align with the business strategy, and deliver measurable results. You will need to effectively communicate analytical findings in simple terms, quantifying accuracy metrics.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Deep understanding of financial services.
  • Proficiency in statistical or mathematical modelling.
  • Familiarity with modelling and rating processes.
  • Degree or equivalent Diploma in Statistics or Mathematics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C#, SQL, and statistical analysis tools such as R, Matlab, and SAS.
  • Advanced user of MS Office, especially Excel.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Marketing, Operational, and Digital Fulfilment performance dashboards.
  • Create Trigger events for real-time strategic interventions.
  • Automate performance dashboards in collaboration with Business Intelligence (BI).
  • Identify market trends and provide actionable insights to the management team.
  • Track performance metrics post strategic business innovations.
  • Build profitability models to prioritize growth initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue generation, and efficiency improvements.


Qualification and Experience

  • Advanced Diplomas or National 1st Degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Preferably Honours degree.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience.
