To contribute to the development and maintenance of best practice models and assessment strategies in line with regulations to facilitate world-class risk management.Job Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to achieving transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives such as staff surveys.
  • Research and propose corporate citizenship initiatives in the area of influence.
  • Support corporate responsibility initiatives for business strategy achievement like Green Strategy.
  • Identify and suggest effective ways to improve business processes, models, and systems to add value to Nedbank.
  • Develop superior solutions that meet stakeholder and business requirements through analysis.
  • Ensure product and solution design aligns with business specifications by meeting stakeholder requirements promptly.
  • Engage with business to meet their needs through face-to-face interaction and forum participation.
  • Assist the business in addressing queries by analyzing data, performing ad hoc analysis, and completing data requests.
  • Document and record processes and models for continuity and knowledge base.
  • Provide insights for growth through analytical research, systems, and marketing insights.
  • Ensure policy compliance through data analysis and monitoring, and streamline processes for efficiency.
  • Bridge the gap between operational and analytical concepts through communication to understand processes.
  • Support business strategy, objectives, and values by reviewing plans and ensuring alignment of systems, processes, and solutions.
  • Improve personal capability by staying updated on field developments through training courses and career progression.
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders to enable skilling and corrective action.
  • Develop new processes to improve stakeholder businesses by highlighting benefits in support of recommendations.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
  • 3-year degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or equivalent
Minimum Experience Level
  • 1-3 years' experience as a quantitative analyst preferred but not required
