Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Logistics qualification would be beneficial
  • Transport/Logistics experience at least 3-6 years
  • In-depth knowledge of the Road traffic act, legislation and transport
  • Excellent knowledge of handling commodities (fresh, frozen and dry)
Duties included but not limited to:
  • Delivery:
    • Loading of trucks safely and effectively.
    • Work closely with transport companies to coordinate the movement of orders not within delivery regions.
    • Ensure that the cargo/orders are always protected (boxes, sealed, wrapped) for transportation.
    • Inspect orders to ensure the correct quantities and products match what was invoiced to the recipients.
    • Implementation of transport policies, systems and standards that will improve customer service.
    • Ensure that customer orders are delivered safely, effectively, and efficiently and in line with the FSMS (Food Safety Management System) requirements.
    • Ensure that all vehicles are maintained following company standards and aligned with the road traffic act.
  • Inventory:
    • Continually maximize space utilization.
    • Implement and practice FIFO at all times.
    • Plan, coordinate, manage and coordinate the movement of all outgoing orders.
    • Plan and conduct the stock counts as per the companys management guidelines.
