Job duties
1. Operating Pallet Truck
  • Safely operate manual or electric pallet trucks to transport goods.
  • Maneuver pallet trucks in confined spaces and between racking systems.
  • Ensure loads are stable and secure before moving.
2. Loading and Unloading
  • Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
  • Stack and store goods in designated areas.
  • Assist in organizing products on pallets for efficient storage and transport.
3. Inventory Management
  • Keep accurate records of stock moved in and out of storage.
  • Assist with stock counting and inventory audits.
  • Ensure that products are correctly labeled and organized.
4. Health and Safety Compliance
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to prevent accidents.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure the pallet truck is in good working condition.
  • Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor.
5. Warehouse Maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing pallets.
  • Support other warehouse staff with tasks as needed.
6. Communication and Coordination
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors.
  • Coordinate with other forklift or pallet truck drivers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors regarding the movement and storage of goods.
7. Documentation
  • Fill out relevant paperwork or digital logs for goods transported.
  • Document any incidents or issues that occur during operations.
