Key Job Functions:
  • Accurately handle all veterinary certificates.
  • Check and book all spaces on vessels promptly.
  • Capture all customer information and deliver documentation at ports.
  • Liaise with cold storage regarding container bookings and stock availability.
  • Ensure successful administration of all port documents.
  • Comply with Occupational Health & Safety, HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and other standards.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum qualification: Matric with an additional qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Proven computer skills.
  • Knowledge of South African Customs and import & export control.
  • Experience in shipping and freight environment advantageous.
  • Familiarity with EDI, bill of entries, SAD 500, VOC, export and cargo dues.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime.
  • Capacity to work under pressure.
