WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The
System Analyst will be responsible for the internal ballistic support and simulation work, which include the maintenance and improvement of in-house software and updating/maintenance of internal ballistic database.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical support in the field of interior ballistics.
- Maintenance and updating of input data for interior ballistic simulation.
- Maintenance, optimization and improvement of inhouse software.
- Development of ballistic information from various ammunition/weapon configurations for test ranges and marketers.
- Take part in investigative studies during nonconformance occurrences.
- Provides inputs to system engineers for test planning & execution.
- Assist in the preparation of product technical documents such a brochures and specifications.
- Aid in tender and contractual compliance verifications.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- NQF 9 M.Sc. Degree in Physics/Applied mathematics or equivalent.
- At least 13 years technical experience in the defense/manufacturing environment.
- Experience in computer programing will be advantageous.
- An advanced level of computer literacy is essential, i.e. design and data analysis software.
- Proficient in computer programming (C++, MATLAB, Visual Basic, Python).
- Solid background in Applied Mathematics, Physics and Design principles.
- Able to work independently or interactively as a member of a team.
- Good communication skills (verbal, written & interpersonal)
- Selfmotivated with creative and innovative mind.
