WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


The
System Analyst will be responsible for the internal ballistic support and simulation work, which include the maintenance and improvement of in-house software and updating/maintenance of internal ballistic database.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical support in the field of interior ballistics.
  • Maintenance and updating of input data for interior ballistic simulation.
  • Maintenance, optimization and improvement of inhouse software.
  • Development of ballistic information from various ammunition/weapon configurations for test ranges and marketers.
  • Take part in investigative studies during nonconformance occurrences.
  • Provides inputs to system engineers for test planning & execution.
  • Assist in the preparation of product technical documents such a brochures and specifications.
  • Aid in tender and contractual compliance verifications.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • NQF 9 M.Sc. Degree in Physics/Applied mathematics or equivalent.
  • At least 13 years technical experience in the defense/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in computer programing will be advantageous.
  • An advanced level of computer literacy is essential, i.e. design and data analysis software.
  • Proficient in computer programming (C++, MATLAB, Visual Basic, Python).
  • Solid background in Applied Mathematics, Physics and Design principles.
  • Able to work independently or interactively as a member of a team.
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written & interpersonal)
  • Selfmotivated with creative and innovative mind.
