PROJECT MANAGER
We are seeking a highly skilled, Project Manager to join our team in Hillcrest KZN South Africa.

The company has offices in Hillcrest, South Africa and Dar Es Salaam Tanzania.

POSITION OVERVIEW

RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to project milestones and deliverables.
  • Utilize appropriate project management tools and skills to track and document project activities effectively.
  • Lead project meetings, reviews and evaluations to track project performance
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with ALL regulations and company standards throughout project lifecycle.

TEAM SUPERVISION.

  • Lead and guide project teams, providing direction and support throughout project execution.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their strengths and expertise.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment to enhance project performance.
  • Conduct regular team meeting to ensure alignment and progress towards project goals.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

  • Engage effectively with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and community members, to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Communicate project updates, progress reports and challenges to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and seek feedback to improve project outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success and sustainability.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION.

  • Work with Project data manages and analysis to establish monitoring mechanisms to track project indications and performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular project evaluations to assess progress, impact and effectiveness
  • Analyse data collected during monitoring and evaluation processes to inform decisionmaking.
  • Implement changes and improvements based on evaluation findings to optimize project outcomes.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Develop project budgets in collaboration with finance team and project stakeholders
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities and efficient resource utilization strategies.
  • Prepare financial reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

REPORTING

  • Prepare regular project reports in line with client expectations and requirements
  • Present project updates and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that project documentation is accurate, uptodate, correctly filed in accordance with company procedures and policies and accessible for review at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in Agriculture Business, Project Management or related field.
  • Proven experience at least 10 years as a Project Manager, preferably in consulting projects involving agriculture, agribusiness, rural development and/or livelihood restoration.
  • Strong and demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey findings to nontechnical stakeholders, leadership and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure effectively.
  • Knowledge of agriculture practices and livelihood restoration initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for leveraging data to drive positive impact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and deliver presentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professionalism, integrity and a strong commitment to promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel into Africa on a regular basis.
