Payroll Specialist

Duties:

  • Process payroll using an automated payroll package.
  • Handle SARS efiling and other payrollrelated filings.
  • Maintain personnel databases.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll matters for various clients.
  • Prepare payroll reports and provide accurate company data to management, clients, and bookkeepers.
  • Liaise with the Department of Labour, SARS, and other legislative bodies.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and other required reports.
  • Attend to administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist the Africa Desk with payroll activities in other African countries (e.g., Kenya).

Required Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Matric with Maths Higher Grade and Payroll Diploma or certification (nonnegotiable).
  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience servicing multiple clients as an outsourced service provider.
  • Proficiency in SAGE Pastel Payroll, 700 Heads, seasonal workers
  • Familiarity with Payspace and cloudbased payroll systems.
  • Solid understanding of current payroll tax laws and legislative compliance procedures.
  • Selfmotivated, detailoriented, with a passion for payroll and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fastpaced, multiclient environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and other computer skills.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Clerical skills are essential, with a willingness to handle administrative tasks.

Salary:
R20 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
