Senior Transportation Planner

Job Characteristics:
Coordinating logistics from warehouse to final destination (customer), scheduling loads/ collections and communicating schedule accordingly.

Duties:

  • Plan and implement supply chain optimisation projects: warehouse slotting, route planning
  • Analysing and interpreting data
  • Lead to drive cost
- effective warehouse and delivery operation

  • Manage and keep inventory of quality, quantity, transport cost, delivery times and efficiency.
  • Resolve any arising problems and complaints
  • Participate in all stock takes and preparation thereof
  • Lead employees in the are of responsibility (individual development, motivation, assessment and feedback).
  • Manage 3pl carriers/ warehouse
  • Comply with company laws, regulations and ISO requirements
  • Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes
  • Support continuous improvement and identify efficiencies and cost optimization opportunities
  • Ensure completion of 2 quality alerts and BOS every month
