JobPurpose:
This role will bepivotal in supporting the velocity at which the business is conducted, usingtransport planning to create optimal transport routes/plans for ourbusiness.
Determine the mostcost-effective way to meet service commitments whilst leveraging savingopportunities through consolidation of vehicle routing and scheduling.Key Accountabilities:
Oversee Planning team and guideresources around analyzing of orders on origin and destination locationsApply best methods overall to lower transportand routing costs - thereby reducing delivery costsEnsure Planning teams Consolidate ordersinto loads, and guide resources in determining the best way to move thoseloadsIncrease DHL asset utilizationEffectively automate routing processManage, plan and utilize all internalresources to ensure maximum productivityReduce operating costs through Improvedfleet utilization, reduce waiting time, reduce distance travelled, etcMaximize routing solutions: balance servicelevels and delivery costsFixed dynamic routing: Manage costs perroute, customer, order sequence, lowest cost, shortest route, shortest distanceEnsure all systems are used effectivelyand ensure teams use the appropriate systemsSupport LH planners in daily marketpurchase (Subcontractors)Review Regional Lane LH trends andpropose improvement initiativesHealth and safety management andcomplianceIncrease customer services levels.
Measure attendance and performance inaccordance with site procedures and policiesTo ensure compliance with alllegislative and site policies and to ensure all relevant site processes andprocedures are adhered to, which would include Health and Safety requisitesKPI ManagementProcess ImprovementReview and analyze results.
Collaborate with Business Leads on newprojects, initiatives and or other implementations.Ensure SOP's are reviewed at minimumevery 24 MonthsCollaborate with Functional CCT DeptLeads and support where necessary.
Share applicable Monthly reports with Management.
Manage wholistic customer data base bybuilding the best routes for our dedicated and sub-contractor fleetEnsure databases of customers, productsand routes are continuously updated.
Ensure Daily/Weekly/Monthly Resourceschedules are in place.Ensure development and succession plansare in place.
Ensure all new Subcontractors areon-boarded in DHL's compliant manner.
Qualifications,Experience & Attributes:
MatricRelevant professional qualificationsDegree/ Diploma in Road Transport,Supply Chain ManagementsExperience in Fleet ManagementAbility to handle transport network innear real time.
Exceptional in-depth knowledge ofoperations Support complex operations - cross docking.Excellent communication skills, writtenand verbal.
Excellent knowledge of ExcelAbility to review and analyse results, reports,and findings.
Ability to function on a strategic level.

- Select, C-Track,Heat, MS OfficeFixed/dynamic routing experienceGeocoding on victor maps with fullstreet searchAnalyse and manage distribution resources.
