The Legal intern will work under the Legal and Compliance Manager and will assist the Legal and Compliance Manager with all relevant administrative, legal and compliance tasks.


Outline of duties and responsibilities:

The Legal intern will offer support to the Legal and Compliance Manager in meeting all compliance-related and legal requirements. The role involves ensuring the provision of efficient and effective administrative, research and legal assistance.

Outline of duties:

  • Assist Legal and Compliance Manager in administrative tasks;
  • Attendance and minute taking of various hearings and enquiries;
  • File and maintain legal documents;
  • Legal research and analysis;
  • Legal drafting and review;
  • Court and administrative proceedings;
  • Client communication and support;
  • Information gathering and organisation;
  • Daily record keeping with electronic and hard copy filing of documents;
  • Prepare and format legal and management reports;
  • Maintain and update databases and tracking systems; and
  • Collaboration and teamwork.

Soft Skills:

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with differences and diversity;
  • A strong collaborative spirit and team player, able to build effective work relationships;
  • Good judgment, planning and organisation skills;
  • Detail orientation (accuracy and quality orientation when working);

  • Ability to grasp and interpret legal documents; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
