An industry leader in the mechanical/ glider manufacturing sector, based in Potchefstroom, North-West is recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper

Scope
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.

Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with our Accounting team to create and analyse financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial transactions are properly documented
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Diploma in Accounting / Financial management (NQF 6) or higher
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage Pastel, etc)
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure

Package & Remuneration

  • Market related salary
  • Pension fund

Working hours
07:30 - 16:00 (Monday - Friday).

From time to time, it will be required to work outside these hours in order to meet delivery schedules or as operational planning might require.
