The Senior Product Owner serves as the customer's voice within the team, collaborating with Product Management and other POs, along with various stakeholders, to define and prioritize stories in the Team Backlog. This role plays a critical part in shaping the vision and roadmap, ensuring the realization of value in our digital products, particularly our virtual agent. The collaborative and strategic foresight of the PO is pivotal in driving the transformation towards business agility, value delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Critical role in transforming our Virtual Agent into an engaging and intelligent Virtual Agent.
  • Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs, translating them into product requirements.
  • Defining the vision for the team's product.
  • Creating a product roadmap based on this vision.
  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog based on evolving requirements.
  • Overseeing all stages of product creation, including design and development.
  • Developing user stories.
  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each process stage.
  • Liaising with the product team and end-users to provide updates.
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints.
  • Understanding the ServiceNow ITSM platform and ensuring up-to-date training and knowledge on the products.
  • Providing advice on best practices for the ServiceNow ITSM tools.
  • Understanding and integrating ITIL practice requirements into ServiceNow ITSM.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Understanding the ServiceNow ITSM platform and ensuring up-to-date training and knowledge on the products. Understanding and linking ITIL practice requirements to ServiceNow ITSM functionality.
  • Experience in Agile/SAFE scrum practices.
  • Thorough knowledge and comprehension of the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of systems and design thinking.
  • Ability to listen and support teams in problem identification and decision-making.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • ITIL v3/4.
  • SAFe Product owner/manager.

Required Experience:

  • Significant active working experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile for the Enterprise).
  • 5 Years ITIL experience.
  • 3 – 5 years of ServiceNow ITSM experience.
  • 3 – 5 years of scrum/agile experience.
