Position Available:
Maintenance Team Leader
We are a dynamic expanding company and our staff have the opportunity to grow within the company. We are looking for a Maintenance Team Leader with a mechanical background that meets the following requirements

Position Requirements:

  • A Management/Supervisory skills Certificate would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience as a Maintenance Team Leader with detailed knowledge of plants and processes in a production environment is essential
  • Must be computer literate MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Outlook)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to speak Afrikaans
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have own transport
  • Compiling a maintenance budget for approval by Management and controlling and expenditure against budget.
  • Reporting over expenditure and/or extra ordinary maintenance expenditure to the Operations Managers.
  • Checking invoices to be submitted for authorization of payment against quotes on a monthly basis.
  • Ensuring plant and equipment are maintained and in good working order.
  • Identifying inefficiencies and ensuring corrective action is implemented.
  • Ensuring that an efficient maintenance system for the site is implemented and maintained.
  • Participating in risk assessment and nonconformance investigations and meetings.
  • Creating, maintaining and filing Production/Maintenance related documents and controlled forms.
  • Ensuring adherence to statutory and legal requirements.
  • Must be able to weld & grind
  • Must be able to think out of the box and assist with repair solutions
  • Must be an allrounder (handy man)
  • Basic plumbing experience is an advantage
  • Forklift experience is an advantage
  • Technical school education is an advantage
  • Electrical experience will be an advantage
  • Installation of CCTV camera experience will be an advantage

Overtime will be required from time to time depending on operational requirements

Salary :
R20 000 to R25 000 per month depending on Experience
