Role Overview:


We're looking for a specialist with experience in a customer facing function (either from a sales or a service support background) to service both our customers and direct sales force with Hilti's key asset management service offerings.

The Services Consultant will be the product and process expert for our Fleet/Tool Park Management and ONTrack Asset Management services and be responsible for driving and increasing sales for these services.


This role is based in Gauteng and this team member will coordinate with local sales personnel to leverage customer relationships and develop markets; thereby increasing sales and penetration of our Fleet/Tool Park Management and ONTrack Asset Management services.

Role Responsibilities:


As a Services Consultant, you'll be working closely with Hilti's local sales teams in the field, you will be responsible for building and executing action plans to uncover opportunities and drive sales.

You will also be supporting customers by providing analysis on their business needs, as well as excellent customer service in the software implementation and training phases of ONTrack in particular.

The role requires someone who can work with initiative and creativity, manage their own diary, cover all customer commitments effectively, and very much be a team player.

It is also beneficial to be excited by software as well as being tech-savvy and having a high IT literacy skillset.


Your responsibilities will include the following:
Train Sales Management & Account Managers on ONTrack and Fleet Management Pre-selection.

Work with Area Sales Manager and Sales Account Manager to build ONTrack and Fleet Management pipeline in their territory.

Play the leading role of customer acquisition, implementation and retention.


Play role of product expert and process consultant by supporting management meeting, performing the onsite analysis and coordinate the implementation of ONTrack/Fleet Management.

Generate software, hardware, and service revenue (Contracts, Onsite Analysis, Implementation, Training).

Increase sales and penetration of ONTrack and Fleet Management by coordinating with the sales team and leveraging existing relationships.


Coordinate efforts of entire team of Area Sales Manager, Sales Account Manager, marketing team, and back office with a goal of improving market reach of ONTrack / Fleet Management.

Spearhead and partner with the sales team to take them through the entire ONTrack / Fleet Management.
journey all along the 8 steps (management meeting, onsite analysis, final presentation).


Support launch of new products and features to team members and customers by acquainting them with feature benefits and solution functionality.

What you need is:

To be succesful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years consultative selling experience (SaaS or construction industry preferred).
  • Ability to make key decisions regarding change management and adjust each plan to the individual needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a crossfunctional team environment: Marketing, Sales, and other corporate team members
  • Demonstrated analytical, problemsolving, and organizational skills
  • Strong interest in software and skilled in Microsoft office suite
  • Drive to develop strong and sustainable relationships internally and externally.
  • High level of entrepreneurship and presentation skills
