Macmillan Education South Africa is seeking to appoint an experienced professional to access funding from Corporates.

The target market should be involved in or have an interest in investing their Corporate Social Responsibility or Corporate Social Investment funds in Educational development programmes.

Macmillan will find suitable people or schools in need to receive this investment in the form of Macmillan educational material or training.

This is an opportunity for Macmillan to de-risk and diversify its revenue, becoming less reliant on government spend and budgets.

  • Related Degree or Professional Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of exceeding targets
  • Education sector experience advantageous
  • Experience of managing expenditure and budgets
  • Excellent communication etiquette and people skills
  • Project management experience
  • Strong negotiation and management skills
  • Selfmotivated and resultsdriven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations and draw up accurate and detailed reports
  • Able to travel nationally
  • Experience in putting together financial proposals for educational material or services which can be adapted to the customer's needs
  • Experience in closing high value sales deals with senior executives or officials
  • Comprehensive understanding of Corporate Social Investment
**Key Resp
onsibili**t
ies:

  • Identify and target corporate clients and NGO partners to generate new business opportunities
  • Proactively develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects through cold calling, networking and referrals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing corporate clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Conduct dynamic sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase Macmillan's products and services
  • Negotiate and close sales deals to achieve monthly sales targets
  • Prepare proposals which include financial models to respond to the client's needs
  • Gather critical market intelligence to inform corporate sales strategy and objectives
  • Establish and maintain a database of corporate clients and NGOs
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration, linking corporate projects and programmes to Macmillan's resources and teacher training
  • Coordinate and communicate with marketing, publishing, customer services and the national sales teams across the region to ensure seamless execution and delivery of products and services
  • Plan and roll out marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing department
  • Compile the corporate sales budget, managing expenditure and targets
