Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide courteous and professional telephone services in patient care.
- Help patients accurately complete necessary forms and document all information according to internal guidelines.
- Manage all procedures related to patient reception, including booking, arrival, and payment in the relevant systems.
- Guide all patients to the appropriate services and professionals.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times following POPIA regulations.
- Keep the reception area consistently clean and organized.
- Refer emergency cases to the nurse’s station as per protocol.
- Assist patients with basic account inquiries and escalate when required.
- Collect co-payments and outstanding balances per company policies and procedures.
- Perform daily cash-up and banking procedures accurately.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: High school diploma (Grade 12).
- Experience in a customer-focused service environment, such as reception, is beneficial.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- GoodX system experience is a plus.
