Educational Requirements:

A Qualified Chartered Accountant is a necessity

Minimum 5 years post articles experience in Finance Management or similar role

Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Experience within a project environment would be beneficial

Experience in preparation and finalisation of accounts in accordance with current South African regulations

Proven knowledge of cost control, financial analysis, accounting principles, practices, standard laws, and regulations is essential

Knowledge of Corporate Governance, relating to risk management, financial reporting, financial auditing, controls, and compliance is essential

Proven track record in implementation of internal controls, corporate governance policies, improved operational efficiencies, and financial models

Solid understanding of statutory requirements, e.g., VAT, imports, exports, FECs

Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

Skills and Competencies:

  • Technical skills - ability to calculate and interpret financial results, manipulate large amounts of data with accuracy
  • Business reporting skills - compile accurate and meaningful business reports
  • Problem solving skills - demonstrate ability to apply principles of problem identification, analysis, and decision-making within immediate work context

  • Stress tolerance - work under pressure, meet tight deadlines

Salary: R1.4 million per annum CTC
