Purpose of the position:

Generating and closing sales telephonically and maintaining good customer relationships

Responsibilities:

  • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service by following scripts
  • Effectively respond to queries about products and/or the company
  • Conduct needs analyses to understand customer requirements and to close sales
  • Direct prospects to the Group Schemes team
  • Enter and update client information in the database
  • Capture information in an accurate manner
  • Go the "extra mile" to meet sales targets and to get referral sales

Requirements:

  • Matric/ NQF4 equivalent
  • RE5 and full FAIS accreditation (advantageous)
  • 2 3 years' experience working in long term insurance telesales (advantageous)
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets
  • Good understanding of life insurance underwriting processes and principles

Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Multilingual (advantageous)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present products or service telephonically
  • Excellent negotiation, objection
- and conflict handling skills
