We are looking for an energetic Payroll Administrator to fulfil the payroll function in our organization and ensures that employees are paid correctly and on time.
Responsibilities
Checking/ reviewing all payrolls
Processing payrolls
Preparing Dummy Payslips
Implementing new processes to improve working standards for the payroll department and minimize errors on payroll
EMP201 and EMP501 submissions
Attending to all SARS related queries
Resolving employee salaries, leave days and overtime queries
Being the point of contact for auditors on payroll related issues
Compiling monthly payroll reports and submitting them to the Finance team
Attending to queries from Finance team with the recons
Infoslips
Month end Reporting
Month end Journals for Finance Department
Management of Medical Aid & Provident changes / updates
Submitting the death Claims & medical boarding SDL, PAYE, COIDA, and UIF management, reporting, and reconciliation/ filing.
Ensuring that the payroll team is processing entries correctly.
Compliance duties (Inspection requirements)
Submissions of WCA reports UIF declarations
FHIRST month end and salary submissions
Coordinate and manage the entire payroll function.
Checking and auditing of all payrolls, ensuring that a complete variance check is done on all data captured before submitting to Financial Director for final checking and authorisation.
Ensure that all statutory and month-end reports are completed and submitted to Financial Manager.
Reconciliation and submission of all third party billing statements and payments.
Ensure that the payroll system is compliant with the latest updates & enhancements as provided by Sage VIP Payroll.
Ensure that daily, weekly and month-end backups are done.
Ensure that the payroll system is updated with the latest Medical Aid tables, Provident Fund & Group Life percentages and statutory rates and tables.
Ensure that the Mid-year and Tax year end submissions are done and submitted to SARS.
Completion of the Quarterly Statistics SA report.
Assist the Financial Director with payroll information and spreadsheets during the annual budgeting process.
Non - Negotiable Requirements and skills
Grade 12
Payroll Qualification
VIP Payroll Experience
FHIRST experience
Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is essential
Strong administration and organizational skills
Ability to work without supervision, under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Desired Requirements and Skills
Numerical accuracy and high methodical working methods are required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to liaise professionally with personnel at all levels
