Krones Southern Africa also provides local engineering services for the beer and beverage industry within the Sub

  • Saharan African region.

Your tasks:

  • Work with suppliers and influence internal stakeholders to implement the innovation strategy, and to evolve the strategy as technology, markets and business needs change.
  • Influence key stakeholders to drive delivery of KSA purchasing objectives.
  • Procurement of a portfolio of materials, goods or services within a category.
  • Deliver KPI's relating to cost, cash, quality, service and continuity of supply for the portfolio.
  • Continuously gather, analyse, interpret and act upon market intelligence.
  • Feedstock and market assumptions translated into annual budget and quarterly reforecast of portfolio spend. Assumptions documented.
  • Minimise risk to continuity of supply by carrying out supplier risk assessments for the portfolio's suppliers and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Ensure supply agreements are based upon formal legal T&C's.
  • Performs technical work involved with the purchase of supplies, services and equipment.
  • Reviews and develops specifications for materials, supplies, services or equipment to be purchased.
  • Followsup on orders previously placed, solving problems such as late delivery, variation from specifications, incorrect pricing, etc.
  • Assists in the transfer or sale of supplies or equipment, which are surplus, obsolete or unusable.
  • Interviews vendor representatives and salespeople to establish new sources, products and methods of procurement.
  • Negotiates with vendors regarding specifications, prices and delivery.
  • Responsible for carrying out all procurement processes and promote the principles and benefits of good procurement practice throughout Krones LCS Center Africa and procurement team.
  • Proactive problemsolving abilities, effectively handle and solve escalated/emergency situations, shutdown tracking, daily order processing and supplier expediting, arrange
- import/incoming logistics of all purchases till delivery to warehouse or address as required, resolve queries, manage purchasing tasks and requirements in line with Krones business demands and processes meeting deadlines.

  • Provide support services in relation to all procurement related systems provided to Company service areas including the emarketplace, SAP modules, etendering and equotes, republishing, corporate purchase cards and any other procurement related systems.
  • Supplier sourcing, negotiations and selection considering local requirements i.e. BBBEE
  • Provide support and back up to the Materials Management and Strategic Purchasing initiatives of KSA.
  • Identify and develop new initiatives to improve departmental workflows following through with implementation, driving processes and procedure improvements in conjunction with the relevant adjoin departments always maintaining the best interest of Krones business.
  • Represent the Supply Chain, as required.
  • Carry out all other duties that would be expected from this grade of officer and that fall within the broad remit of the post.
  • Assist & Support Warehouse team with the financial stock takes and variance investigations.

Your profile:

  • Matric
  • Purchasing
Diploma or Supply Chain Management Qualification

  • MS Office, Word, Excel, outlook and PowerPoint
  • SAP (must have 23years procurement experience)
  • Understanding of imports and logistics (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and compliant with work processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
