Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Enable benefits/ value release through the delivery of a watertight and costeffective contracting capability.


Minimized number of contractual breaches for which the company is financially liable or which would negatively affect the companys reputation.

Contract performance against expected Category opportunities.

Reduction in contract management costs.

  • Prepare sourcing plans, negotiate, and administer all contracts within a portfolio in accordance with policies and legal requirements.
Ensure 100% Supply Chain policy compliance.

  • Implement effective methods to maximize oncontract spend within the category (100% ontime contract availability).
Ensure new/amended contracts are communicated in a timely and appropriate manner to the organization.

  • Prepare regular reports regarding contract status, compliance and modifications/amendments.
Compile monthly reports on contract status, contract leakage, compliance and modification.

  • Respond to complex inquiries regarding contract terms and conditions, and contract processing requirements and guidelines.
Response as per agreed timelines.

  • Ensure that robust contract management and review processes and procedures are in place to manage and mitigate risk in the organisation.
Ensure end users are trained in and honour the contract terms and conditions as stipulated in the agreement.

Monitor and address supplier performance issues.

Ensure the contracts database/register is maintained

Inherent Qualifications and Experience:

  • University Bachelors Degree or equivalent (NQF7), coupled with 68 relevant years
  • Certification & Professional Membership
  • Supply Chain
  • A good understanding of the mining industry/explosives will be an added advantage
