This is a commercially focused role that blends new business sales, key account management, business development and relationship management, however, a high level of technical understanding is necessary to provide the credibility to engage with various project stakeholders.

Customers are locally marketing, selling, integrating, and deploying these products as part of their products, solutions, and services.

Their customers have vast experience in their field of specialization but require product partners to educate, and lead change through innovation.


Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing project specifications
  • Influencing specifiers, consultants, fabricators & corporate endusers to choose the company's products and solutions.
  • Enhancing existing customer relationships through value adds such as the preparation of lighting layouts & presentation of cost saving opportunities
  • Customer relationship management, reporting, planning & forecasting & generation of pipeline
  • Identification, onboarding, training & ongoing management of new customers
  • Technical support & consultation to both external customers and the company's inhouse sales & marketing team
  • Selling the full company's value proposition (which includes substrates)
  • Increase sales by enabling our customers to become more competitive
  • Project Management

Core competencies, knowledge and skills required

  • Experience in managing specification sales programs including strategic market development
  • Procedural driven approach to allow effective streamlining of repetitive sales processes and forecasting
  • Understanding of the endtoend sales process from initial specification phase to project delivery
  • Collaborative approach with awareness of the distinct differences in working practices and expectations of different project stakeholders
  • Innovative approach to commercial negotiations relevant to diverse cultural backgrounds and regions of business
  • Able to provide product training to customer's own sales, technical, estimating, specification and fabrication teams to increase their own sales and specification capabilities
  • Ability to document opportunities across the value chain
  • Proven track record of sales success
