Derivco South Africa is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
PMO Process and Governance Specialist to be part of our dynamic team.

At Derivco, we are seeking a PMO Process and Governance Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of project processes, standards, and tools across the organization.

Your primary focus will be on driving project management governance, assurance, and quality control to ensure successful business adoption.

Role Accountabilities:

Project process implementation and governance**- Review and analyze governance reports to determine the extent of project delivery process adoption and ongoing compliance.

  • Facilitate discussions with business areas and advise on their areas of noncompliance to understand reasons and determine corrective action or project process improvements.
  • Monitor and report on organizationwide project delivery process adherence and the implementation of agreed corrective or improvement actions.

Planning & Direction**- Creates and drives governance delivery plans to implement and review project processes within business units across the organization and external customers.

  • Create and implement internal improvement plans that support the overall project services strategy.

Knowledge, practices and continuous improvement**- Align and implement the organization's project processes to ensure adherence to governance requirements.

  • Conduct research, obtain business feedback and analyze data to identify insights, trends, new methods and standards.
  • Design and propose process enhancements based on knowledge and understanding of project frameworks, standards, tools and best practices for approval and implement across the organization.
  • Drives knowledgesharing and change management across the organization through training, coaching, mentoring to ensure awareness and understanding of the organization's project delivery process, governance requirements, dashboards and scorecards.

Stakeholder Management**- Maintain an internal and external stakeholder matrix and continuously align with stakeholders on the value proposition of project services and the relevant service delivery agreements.

  • Maintains and improves a platform that provides stakeholders with visibility of process governance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Diploma/Degree in a related field
  • Relevant Project Management Certification, either CAPM or PMP.
  • Certification in agile methodologies is also preferable.


 Preferably experience
  • In an IT project environment (Software Development and other projects)
  • 46 years of experience in project management governance and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of project frameworks, standards, and best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure DevOps, Power BI, and Confluence
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
