We are looking for an
Underwriting Specialist to join our global team


Our Underwriting team is responsible for ensuring that emerchantpay is at all times compliant with the laws, rules, and regulations in the jurisdictions in which we operate, as well as with scheme rules and regulations.

The underwriting team works closely with account management during the onboarding process of merchants and monitors merchant compliance on an ongoing basis.


Responsibilities:

  • Accurate, complete, and adequate knowledge of industry regulation as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, and client screening/sanctions requirements
  • Understanding business risk assessment on new and existing customer
  • Monitoring the completeness and correctness of the received documents and data to ensure compliance in accordance with industry regulations and internal policies
  • Close cooperation with the business units and other risk functions

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience working in a similar position
  • Excellent language skills in both English and German
  • Additional language would be considered an advantage
  • Excellent level of computer skills
  • Experience in E-Commerce, Payment, or FinTech industry is an advantage
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Experience in AML, KYC, and KYB processes
  • Willing to innovate, learn and share knowledge
