_Position_:
Sales Rep

  • Location of Position_: Brakpan, South Africa
A UK based company that exports steel to South Africa is looking for a sales rep based in Johannesburg who will manage existing as well as develop new relationships with customers in South Africa

  • Description of the function in terms of the most importantduties being done daily/weekly_:
  • Expand the customer base for steel products by generating new business opportunities, acquiring new accounts, negotiating and closing deals
  • Analyse and share information related to the market, competition, pricing, and all other developments within the steel sector
  • Follow up with the customers for payments as per the agreed terms, and coordinating with Purchase/Logistics teams to ensure timely shipments
  • Travel extensively within the Wits area and occasionally countrywide
  • Experience and Requirements as follows_:
  • Must have at least 5 years' experience in generating sales in flat (HRC, GI, GL, PPGI, PPGL, Vastrap etc) and long (Angles, Channels, Flat Bar, IPEs) steel products
  • Must be very familiar and have a working knowledge of all importation procedures as well as all documentation, including custom's entries, BLs etc.
  • Must have own vehicle to make sales calls
  • Must have good Excel skills
Tests required to ensure that each of the job description requirements are met:
Predictability Index (Pi) test

Written and Multiple Choice timed test

Salary:
R30, R35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brakpan, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Sales: 5 years (required)

License/Certification:

  • Drivers licence and own vehicle? (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 100% (required)
