The IIE's Vega School, Pretoria Campus has a vacancy for Part-time Lecturer : Game Design for the second semester.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal:

  • Honours Degree / Masters in a design field, such as BCIS Multimedia, Bachelor of Film Arts (Game Design) or Digital Arts with relevant work experience in the Game Design industry

Alternatively:

  • An Honours degree in Digital Design/ Media/ Graphic Design/ Multimedia
  • An Honours degree in similarly related fields with creative development or a similarly related field to the third year level
  • An Honours degree in similarly related fields with programming or a similarly related field to the 2nd year level
  • An Honours degree in Information Technology with Marketing, Branding, or Business Management completed up to a secondyear level

Work Experience Requirements:

  • At least 3 years industry experience, with a collaborative, crossplatform, multidisciplinary approach to research, conceptualizing and crafting for various kinds and genres of digital games on both computer and mobile platforms.
  • An aptitude for Design Thinking and Creative Strategy in relation to problem solving, preparing for action, critical engagement and decision making is a must.

Working Conditions:

  • Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role
  • Positions are parttime, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday
