The IIE Vega, Johannesburg Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Academic Navigator (Lecturer) for the second semester in the following module:

  • Business Communication and Digital Media 1

Job Purpose:

Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

Key Performance Areas:

Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed. Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal:

  • Honours in Design related qualification that includes the below skills sets
  • Needs to be a one up with design skills and multimedia programs

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • Business experience in Office that includes Word, Excel, Power Point and working in PDF
  • Sufficient experience in Adobe Creative Suite such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier Pro
  • Experience in Graphic design/Visual communication essential to working with graphics
  • An understanding of digital communication tools and the principles of creating dynamic and meaningful presentations
  • Creating powerful presentations for business communication
