Join Our Team: Senior Business Analyst in Asset Management in Cape Town

Are you ready for an exciting opportunity in the Financial Services Sector? We are looking for a proactive Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of the team, your role will involve creating innovative solutions to meet the business needs within the asset management and performance reporting functions. You will play a vital role in analyzing business rules and requirements, ensuring the delivery of top-quality solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enhance Business Analysis practices to lead and guide the completion of various Business Analysis Artefacts.
  • Support asset management operations and reporting functions through automation and data reporting efforts.
  • Develop and enhance client, business, and MIS reports.
  • Assess impacts of industry changes on processes and systems.
  • Act as a bridge between clients, development teams, and third parties throughout project development.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality Business requirements specifications.
  • Maintain business process management standards and procedures.
  • Engage with stakeholders to facilitate the completion of Business Analysis Artefacts and Solution Designs.
  • Drive strategic software development projects at the Executive level.
  • Adopt best practices and methodologies in eliciting Business Requirements.
  • Understand IT dependencies and ensure alignment with IT architecture.

Requirements:

  • BSc or B Comm. IT degree (Essential/advantageous).
  • Experience in Business Design and Design Thinking.
  • Strong knowledge of Process Management and Business Analysis.
  • 6-8 years of experience in business analysis (leading a team is advantageous).
  • Understanding of SAFe Agile/Agile and Systems development Life Cycles.

Experience:

  • 6-10 years in a similar role.
  • 5-10 years in the financial service industry.
  • 4 years of asset management experience with performance reporting systems.
  • Previous experience in Fund Administration, Wealth Management, or Asset Management.
  • Proficiency in performance reporting and leading software development teams.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Detailed understanding of asset management operations and reporting.
    • Knowledge of Business Architecture and Business Process Management.
    • Proven experience in general business principles, financial management, and people management.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.

    Competencies:

    • Customer-focused with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate resilience.
    • Excellent communication and team-work skills.
