A vacancy exists for a Coastal Credit Manager.

The position will report to the Credit Manager - Guarding and Specialized Services Division.

The main purpose of the position is to make sure that the debtors' collections are done timeously.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate recognised Credit Management qualification/ BCom degree majoring in Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior Manager.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage. Must have operational experience combined with credit control experience.
  • Ability to form close working relationships with all departments in the business.
  • Strong planning, forecasting, and reporting modelling skills.
  • Ability to quickly analyse and raise financial risk to the business.
  • Experience in managing a credit control department.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills (including power point).
  • Demonstrable experience of generating ideas and formulating strategies.
  • Strong PC and MS Office Suite skills especially Excel.
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach.
  • Speed and Accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
  • Must be a team player with a pleasant disposition.
  • Must have own transport and willing to travel.

Job Objectives

  • Ensuring that the department has the resources to perform efficiently daily.
  • One on one age analysis reviews.
  • Tracking of proof of payments & missed payments daily.
  • Daily meetings with the team to discuss overdue amounts, pending payment dates and action plans.
  • Intervention / assistance with all issues that has an impact on the cash flow.
  • Intervention / assistance with client queries.
  • To ensure applicable Guarding DSO target is maintained.
  • To manage outstanding debtors especially in days.
  • Reviewing of client contracts and alignment with legal team to ensure payments are received as per stipulated terms.
  • Coordinating of daily and weekly meetings. Ensuring escalation to respective business partners.
  • Mandatory client meetings.
  • To ensure that policies and procedures are followed and maintained by all persons concerned.
  • Weekly training, upskilling & development of team.
  • Interaction with National Contracts Managers.
  • To assist with preparations for Financial Year End l Audit l any other requests.
  • Manage & complete the teams KPI's.
  • To streamline collections process for on boarding of new clients.
  • Measure and review performance of the team.
  • Weekly outstanding debtors report extraction, checking & submission for the region.
  • Cash flow forecast to be done weekly for the region.
  • Weekly nonpayments to be submitted for region.
  • Debtor's recons to be reviewed monthly.
  • Bad debt writes offs to be done and managed.
  • Risk Report extraction, checking & submission for the region.
  • Advance Payment Report extraction, checking & submission for the region.
  • Responsible to prepare and escalate possible nonpayment report.
  • Approval of commissions for the region.
  • Approval of proforma invoices & statements for the region.
  • Validating & submission of LOD's / hand over documents for the region.
  • Approval & upload of leave for the region.
  • To review and approve reconciliations for the regional team.
