The role entails evaluating target segments for addressable opportunities, getting an introduction to pitch the solution, evaluate the customer energy management needs, the implications of their energy supply and demand, the impact energy of regulation and incentive programmes on their businesses, and bring an understanding the competitive space to most effectively sell our solution.

The Sales Representative is expected to drive revenue growth to meet aggressive targets by securing client meetings, but also closing the business and ensuring sales execution is completed to order placement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Study

CBI:
energy's target market and identify avenues to generate new leads.

  • Be able to articulate the solution value proposition, features & benefits, customer deployment requirements and

energy's service obligations.

  • Understanding of the solution pricing, sales engagement processes and then close deals with new customers, ensuring completed execution of the sale through the appropriate processes.
  • Track open leads and preacceptance customers in the sales cycle, moving them forward and ensuring ongoing relationships with them.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, be aware of customer landscape, sales enablement systems and sales targets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and related channel partners to resolve issues and complaints.
  • Make recommendations on changes in solutions, internal systems, customer support by evaluating customer experience and the competitive environment.
  • Maintain detailed and consistent records of customer engagements, with call reports, schedules of customer calls against the sales plan agreed with management.
Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrable track record in sales in the electrical, technology or related fields
  • 5+ years' experience in solution sales, preferably in the energy management, electrical engineering solutions market
  • Technical qualification in a related field (energy efficiency, electrical engineering) or demonstratable history of working in these fields
  • Up to date on industry trends, as well as familiar with applicable regulations and standards
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry contacts
  • Lead prospecting skills, sales negotiation skills with a strong motivation to close sales
  • Strong presentation and pitching skills
  • Competence in standard office software tools (MS Office), working with computerised ordering and fulfilment systems
