Supervisor (Assembly - VWSA)

Job Purpose


This role is essential in the supply chain process as the incumbent provide in-depth insight into operational efficiencies for internal, and external customers within the departments.

To direct, coordinate, and plan the operations through effective scheduling of employees, planning of all functions, supervise and control.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Ensure adherence to the company's rules and regulations as documented in the company's disciplinary code of conduct.
  • Responsible for issues relating to Health and Safety and the environment.
  • Ensure timeous distribution of monthly, weekly, and daily reports to internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that housekeeping is prioritized and delivery of safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for team.
  • Control daily team tasks and reporting duties as well as record and report damaged cases, parts, and components.
  • Ensure that all nonconformance and queries are addressed on a daily basis.
  • Manage reporting change requests from both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised.
  • Ensure staff and colleague training on new reports and efficiencydriving work tools in line with SOP.
  • To fulfil any and all ad hoc duties in absence of team members as well as timeously communication flow between Management
  • Coordinate and monitor the area of your responsibility with regard to defined goals and objectives in accordance with internal KPI's.
  • Maintain appropriate information and reporting systems to monitor performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain stock control procedures and continuously review for daily reconciliation of theoretical and physical stock.
  • Drive and develop team culture: encourage and reward constructive internal competitiveness to the benefit of the Client.
  • Demonstrate respect without compromising on results.
  • Delivery of KPI's.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proficient software skills (MS Word, MS Excel etc)
  • 23 years' experience in Supply Chain environment preferably road transport industry experience.
  • Experience working in a multicultural team.
  • Matric (English & Maths).
  • Relevant tertiary certificate/qualification in Logistics and Warehousing.
