Our client, a leading name in the steel service industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Draughtsperson/Estimator to join their dynamic team.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Steel Service Centre environment.
  • Proficient in CAD software for draughting (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills for precise estimations.
  • Indepth knowledge of steel fabrication processes and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Draughting:

  • Create accurate and detailed technical drawings for steel fabrication projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to interpret design specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and project requirements.

Estimation:

  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for steel fabrication projects.
  • Analyse project documentation and specifications to determine material, labour, and equipment requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to provide accurate project quotations.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including engineers, project managers, and production staff.
  • Communicate effectively to resolve design or estimation queries and ensure project alignment.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and estimates to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement best practices for quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
